Moon Valley Nurseries Brand Product:
Designed as an all purpose tree and shrub
fertilizer, Moon Dust is safe to use on all
trees, shrubs, vines and ground cover plants
commonly grown in The Desert Southwest. This
is the same stuff we use at our nurseries!
Use the following application instructions
(also on the back of the fertilizer bag) when
fertilizing with Moon Dust.
WHY?
Not only do plants need fertilizers to maintain
growth and health, but also to help neutralize
the harmful effects of salts and other chemicals
that can build up in the soil. Moon Dust helps
in many areas:

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I FERTILIZE?
For optimum results, it is best to provide
a more consistent level of nutrients available
to your plants. This is done by fertilizing
more often, but applying smaller amounts each
time you fertilize. MOON DUST SHOULD BE APPLIED
ONCE A MONTH FROM MARCH TO OCTOBER.
HOW MUCH?
Measure the diameter (distance across, not
around) the trunk of the tree at a point approximately
2 feet from the ground.
FOR TREES:
Apply Moon Dust at a rate of one-half cup
per inch of trunk diameter. (Example: If the
tree trunk is 4 inches diameter, 2 cups of
fertilizer should be applied.) Use this application
for trees up to 6 inch diameter. For all trees
6 inch diameter and up, apply only 3 cups
of Moon Dust per application.
FOR SHRUBS, VINES & GROUND COVERS:
Add ˝ cup per application.
WHERE?
Once you've determined the correct amount
(not to exceed 3 cups per application), simply
spread Moon Dust evenly on top of the soil
surrounding the base of the tree. You should
spread the fertilizer as wide as the drip
line of the plant. Avoid piling the fertilizer
up against the trunk of the tree or shrub.
WATER!
Water all plants immediately after fertilizing.
To improve efficiency, we recommend saturating
the entire fertilized area with a garden hose.
